NSDG Booked! Date Finalized!
Since we never expected that we could have the Dec 3, 2006 – 3 PM slot at NSDG, I researched for alternative churches and had some inquiries with my fellow w@wies. When I was about to call the churches in our short list, I just thought of calling NSDG ulit kahit hindi pa Feb 2-which is ang date usapan namin ni Inday na babalikan ko sya, Jan 31 pa lang kase. Buti na lang at mabait syang kausap she still entertained me. So she scanned her records again . . . tagal nga, at kinakabahan ako while I was waiting. Though naghintay ako (d naman katagalan) it turned out to be good news. The pencil booked slot was not pushed through. Yey! So the slot was given to us. I felt so much happiness hearing the good news. Ang lakas nmin sa Taas. Hehe. Finally we have a church and a date! Dec 3, 2006, 3 PM at Nuestra Senora de Gracia.
Right after the booking I emailed Mayen (ka-w@w) kase days prior to this I had an exchange of email with her offering their Dec 1, 2006 – 10 am slot on a discounted price (h2b and I decided not to get it-we want an afternoon wedding kase tlga). Good thing hindi strict ang NSDG and slot transfer is allowed kahit it didn’t fall on the same date. Ang bilis nga ng mga pangyayari. All I know is pencil booked pa lang kami tapos biglang reserved na. I feel so much blessed at malakas tlaga sa Taas. We got na the church that we want, a weekend afternoon slot tapos discounted pa. Hehehe. Many thanks to you Mayen!

A Visit at Wedding March Bridal Fair
Whenever I see wedding exhibits/bridal fairs at malls then, I make sure to grab some flyers, price list/package rates or call cards. Wala lng. Nakiki-usi lang, just to have an idea. Hehe. Nakakatuwa lng kase, ang ganda eh. I can’t even answer when the suppliers asks for the wedding date, etc . . . etc . . . Hehe.
I dropped by Glorrieta last Jan 29, 2006 to see the fair with my SIL 2b and her daughter Hannah, h2b is busy kse. Unfortunately they weren’t able to go inside the fair premises, bawal daw bata e. This is the first time na sinadya ko tlga ang bridal fair at dinayo. I was even given a copy of BYP by Mr. John and Mrs. Benz for free and an ID during registration. Thanks! Dati pa akong naghahanap ng BYP. I can’t imagine myself na mikkigulo ako doon. Unlike before nakiki-usi lang and this time I am really inquiring at nakakasagot na ako when they ask for the date of the wedding. I never thought na I will be getting married this year. Grabeh! Until now di pa rin ako makapaniwala. Is this for real?
The following day I went back, this time with my H2b. Lalo akong di makapaniwala. Hehehe. He is also inquiring and nakikibiro pa sa mga suppliers. Nakakatuwa tlga. Gulat nga si H2b of the Edd Sy couturier, dati daw nyang prof sa AMA, and he even confirmed-nag usap pa sila sa phone at bibigyan daw kmi ng discount. Hehehe. I might end up with an Edd Sy designed gown, why not if budget permits.
Overall the fair is composed mostly of photo and video service. I met the famous photographers and videographers there na nababasa and naririnig ko lng dati and saw their actual work. Nakakalula sa sobrang dami and we might pick one of those. Infairness magaganda tlga. We did not do any bookings most likely canvassing and notes comparing lng ginawa namin ni h2b. Pero I really had fun, kase the visit this time is for our wedding purpose, hindi nakiki usi lng.

NSDG Pencil Booking
Since NSDG is the first church that we visited and very much satisfied with its architecture, we concluded na dito na! We really instantly fell in love with the church. (See my 1st Church Ocular: NSDG Blog). After a couple of weeks of discussing, realization, considerations and budget computation, etc . . . etc . . . we found out that it is feasible that we can make it on Dec 2006, we will go and book NSDG.
It was January 24, 2006 early morning I called up NSDG for pencil booking for Dec 16, 2006, 4pm slot. Inday (NSDG attendant) sadly told me that it is no longer available. All the weekends of December 2006 afternoon are booked. As she scans her records Dec 3, 3pm slot is on pencil booked mode pa lang. Sabi ko sige I’ll go for that (kahit mas mahal charge nila for Sundays . . . kuripot pa man din ako. hehe). I asked her to write our names in their waiting list for Dec 3. She told me to get back to her after a week (Feb 2) para malaman ko kung nag confirm or not ung naka pencil book. Hay . . . I felt so much sadness and very disappointed at nawawalan na tlga ako ng pag asa and gana. Unang hirit namin bokya kaagad. I even keep on praying na sana hindi matuloy ang nagpa pencil book. Ang sama ko! Hehehe. Pero hindi na rin ako umasa pa. I even told h2b na mag move na lang kami ng date at wala na kmi mabobook pang simbahan this December. Sabi ko sa 2008 na lang kmi pakasal, hindi naman ako nagmamadali. Aba ayaw. Hehehe. Denise my SIL 2b is lined up na ikakasal kase sa 2007, they believe in sukob kaya ganun. Whatever happens kailangan maikasal kmi ng Dec 2006 or earlier.

Contract Signing with HS
It’s not a supplier or a venue. Not another wedding preparation blog but it will definitely play a big role as we prepare our most awaited day. Last January 17, 2006 my Babes was called by Headstrong to report at their office at 3:00 PM. To his surprise it was already a contract signing. Yes! Finally! After a long wait and long search at Kuwait dito at dito pa rin pla sya makakahanap sa Pinas. Exactly after a month ng pag uwi nya from Kuwait he caught and landed on a good job. Actually, Headstrong is one of his target employers. Jan 24, 2006 is his first day. Whew! Buti na lang. This just simply means that we would definitely push through with it – the wedding! Thank God.

2nd Church-Venue Ocular: St. Pancratius & Paco Park
Originally agreed is to look for a church within the vicinity of Mandaluyong and Makati City only, pwede naman magbago ng isip di ba? Hehehe. St. Pancratius and Paco Paco Park changed my mind as I do the picture browsing and after inquiring with my fellow w@wies on the peso power and on how we can get there - report ako kaagad kay H2B and convinced him to go there. Good thing is that he is game and payag kaagad. Why St. Pancratius Chapel? Same reasons as NSDG.
Date: Jan 14, 2006.
Call Time: 11:00 AM.
Meeting Place: H2B’s place – malapit sa kanila pupuntahan.
Requirement: Eat heavy breakfast. :P
We left Makati at around 11:30 AM - I was late. Hehehe. After 20 minutes ride we reached the place, mdyo matraffic. We took the shortcuts and didn’t follow the map. H2B is familiar with the place-but never been there. Buti na lng. May entrance fee pala dun na P5.00. Pero it was waived because we are inquiring. Thanks to Aling Edna for accommodating and explaining everything to us. When we entered the park and the chapel (cemetery rin pla un-pero hindi obvious) we had the same reaction when we had our ocular with NSDG. Hehehe. Again, we instantly fell in love we the place. The park struck us; it really seems to have a nice garden wedding reception there. Mega pose and picture to the max, there are a lot of nice spots. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to bring along our photographer Den that’s why solo pics lang. We also stayed there for a while and ad a feel of the place, and we tour ourselves sa buong park. We didn’t notice our hunger sa ganda ng place. Afterwhich biglang bawi kami and treat ourselves a very heavy lunch – we had smorgasbord! We ate a lot of litson baboy and baka rin. Yummy! Kaya we are growing crosswise. Hehehe. More pictures of Paco Church & Park?

1st Church Ocular: NSDG
I’m still in “can’t really believe” mode of doing this stuff. After searching for beautiful churches within the vicinity of Mandaluyong and Makati City area via the net on pictures, how we can get there, contact nos, church peso power, package inclusions and feedbacks it’s high time for ocular. We had our first ocular at NSDG (Nuestra Señora De Gracia). Why NSDG? First, it is really photogenic in its interior and exterior. Second, its size is just good enough – not too small, not too big! Ayaw ko kase maglakad ng sobrang haba baka madapa ako sa sobrang kaba, and need really high heels, a foot taller kase si H2B sa akin e. Hehehe. Lastly, swak sa budget!
Date: Jan 7, 2006.
Call time: 12:00 noon.
Meeting Place: My place - malapit sa akin yung pupuntahan eh.
Since it’s lunchtime, I prepared lunch for my H2B and SIL Den (came along with us-para maki-usi and photographer na rin). I cooked pork steak and oystered tofu with veggies for our lunch. We left at around 1:30 PM and in 10 mins we reached the place. We made it to a point to be there before 2:00 PM strikes - may wedding kase as per the attendant of NSDG told my H2B during his inquiry. Just arrived on the right time.
The three of us instantly fell in love with the church. I never thought that it is good in person. The first word that came out into our mouths – ang ganda! Ok na 2! Dito na! Picturan kmi kaagad pagbaba ng sasakyan. Though we are not good in capturing the best spot and angle photogenic pa rin talaga siya. Pose dito at doon, kahit anong area of the church panalo. Hindi nga kmi makaalis-alis dahil sa sobrang nagandahan kami kundi lang kmi nahiya sa mga ikakasal, hindi kami umalis. Pagkamalan pa kaming gate-crushers. Hehehe. We also checked the NSDG Gardens, just right beside the church. Ganda rin! How we wanted to book the church on the spot, but we still have to consider a lot of things. Definitely NSDG will be one of our options. We do hope by the time everything is fixed NSDG is still available.

WEDsite Constructed
Dec 20, 2005. When I became part of the W@Wyahoogroups I make it to a point that I do check mail regularly that’s every morning-as soon as I arrive office, lunch break-right after eating, after office hours- bago ako umuwi I stay for couple of minutes or sometimes hours pa. Nakaka-overwhelm and addict talaga.
As I read the exchange of emails my attention was caught by the signature of one of the members (sorry can’t remember the couple) a link is affixed into it. I got curious and checked-on the link. Wow! A wedding announcer site for FREE! I got inspired on creating our own wedsite. Right then and there I registered and started constructing after the approval of my membership. Also, I immediately uploaded our theme song – SO IT’S YOU! Can you hear it? Turn your volumes on!
The good thing about this site, aside it’s for free it’s also user friendly. There are a lot of templates to choose from. I can’t decide kung ano gagamintin ko - ang gaganda. I ended up using this one since it is near our chosen motif. Thanks to www.weddingannouncer.com!

Surf! Surf! Surf!
December 13, 2005. The day after our 17th monthsary. The day after he said his intension of tying the knot with me. I didn’t expect it to be early as this. Hehehe.
I woke up early wearing that sweet up to ear smile. I rushed at the office and turned on my PC and launched my IE. I opened my Inbox and looked for my ex-housemate’s (Ate Yayeen) wedding tips email that was really addressed to my sister. The very first tip that I followed is to register at W@Wyahoogroups and I am glad I did, and was accepted to be a part of it and at the same time I found instant wedding consultants and friends as well. J Good thing there’s such an active group like this, no unanswered questions left. From here, I got a lot of website links that I can refer into, and did a lot of surfing.
I was looking for lunch break and after office hours to do more surfing. Hindi ako mapakali, I don’t know what site to visit first. I can’t even concentrate on my work, I feel that I am in cloud 9, I can’t really believe why I was doing such thing. Hehehe. Thanks to technology! It’s nice to be an internet bride. I have the whole world as my source of info!
