Pre-Marriage Counseling & Gown Measurement

This is a seminar conducted at the Church by Family Life Workers (Church Volunteers) this is to test if couple are both ready to face the Sacrament of Matrimony. This is a whole day event from 8:00Am to 5:30 PM, held every last Saturday of the month (NSDG Schedule). Since we are getting married at NSDG we decided to attend the seminar there.

Jan 27, 2007 - It's exactly for months before our wedding whn we attended the Seminar.

We both woke up early though sobrang napuyat kami because of coffee. We both had coffee the night before. Parehas pala kming d nakatulog. Hehehe. Good thing nakayanan nmin gumising and we’re not late! Buti na lang di ganun ka sleepy ung seminar.

The seminar went well and we learned a lot of new things. Discussion points were basically what is the seminar all about, what is marriage, family planning, contraceptives, methods, genegram and knowing more about how your partner look towards marriage life under the sacrament of matrimony.

A sort of test was given in the last part of the seminar wherein couple would answer some questionnaires to check if both have the same vision on having the sacrament of matrimony and having family. Good thing Raymond & I almost have the same answers. There might be some na hindi kmi parehas, in the end we still agree with each other. We are really meant for each other siguro. Hehehe.

The seminar ended early at around 4:30PM. Dahil hindi nahirapan ung facilitator. All the couples were Filipino ang at the right age of marrying. So no more questions asked and transalations. Hehehe.

Right after the seminar we headed to Ysabelle to have my gown measurement. Our appointment was at 6PM, an hour early kme. Almost magkatabi lng kase ung church and shop so ang bilis namin nakarating. Buti na lang nandoon si Rhoda and Lawrence to assists us. Ayun, as always kulitan and tawanan lng kmi doon khit pagod na because of the seminar. D kase ako pumayat eh. Sexy ko daw sabi ni Memond! Hahaha! I’ll be having my first fitting on the 3rd day of March 2007.

D na kmi nagtaggal pa sa shop para makauwi rin ako papampanga and Memond is in a hurry din kase hinihitay na sya ng mga pamangkin nya, dahil ilalabas nya mga ito.

Another bogsa day for us. Hehehe.

Postponement of Pamamanhikan

We decided not to push thru with the Pamanhikan since my dad was hospitalized. He was admitted to the hospital last Jan 15, cleared night of Jan 20, which was the scheduled date of Pamamanhikan.

Dad was diagnosed with tumor/cyst in his gall bladder apparently operation cannot be done asap due to his liver inflation. The doctor has to cure his liver first before doing the operation – removal of gall bladder.

There is no definite date yet when Memond’s Family could visit our place, everything depends on dad’s situation. We hope soon.

The holiday season is over and we are back to wedding preps! Our first stop for 2007 is to give visit to the ever-famous Mang Boy Mahusay from Jarielle’s Flower Shop. I set an appointment with him morning of the same day.

Memond and I had lunch at Shang before going to Dangwa. We made sure that we are full before kami susugod on our adventure. We planned to go to Dapitan Arcade first to look for some aluminum pails for flower girls instead of the traditional basket and look for some souvenirs na rin then Dangwa.

We traveled via commute because we are not familiar with place. My sister Noli instructed us on what fx/jeep to ride from Shang. Memond did’t agree with my sister’s instruction so he asked for his friend on how we can get there. Ayun! Hindi sila nagkaintindihan! Instead of Dapitan Arcade and tinuro, Dapitan St. Hay! So we headed na kay Mang Boy since malapit na kmi sa Dangwa, few steps away na lng naman. We assumed na lng na may aluminum pail na si Mang Boy. Hehehe. Although I have been at Dapitan Arcade and Dangwa once, dahil mahina ako sa directions dko pa rin maituro where. Hahaha! Good thing I can still remember how Mang Boy looks like when I helped Lou and posted pics from
w@w.

As we saw Mang Boy’s stall – we layed down our cards, then quoted us. Hay! Muntik na akong himatayin! He quoted us 11,500! Hanggang sa umabot ng 10K which contains nman my ideal or I may say dream bouquet and ento flowers. Grabe I can’t believe how expensive flowers are! Whew! Honestly, I wanted to modify the package and the flowers to be used. I am ready to let go of my hand-tied 20 pcs yellow tulips since its really way out of the budget. Memond didn’t permit me to do so. He is very much willing to extend our budget just for me to have my dream bouquet. So ayun pinatulung-tulungan nila ako dun at wala akong nagawa. Bayad na kagad si Memond.

Feeling ko tlga ang mahal. Worth it na lang sana ang bayad nmin. Mang Boy required 2k reservation fee, we paid 3k. We didn’t look for other florist pa since he is the best ever recommended at
w@w. No nega feedback with his services, and okay naman syang kausap. Another supplier na nakipag kulitan kmi. His sidekick Mang Jon is also Kapampangan like me, sya na daw bhala sa amin. Ahihi.

So that ends our Dangawa adventure, parang it is a blessing in disguise na naligaw kmi, a reason not going to Dapitan Arcade pa since that napoprovide naman pla si Mang Boy ng aluminum pail. Hehehe. Afterwhich we parted ways, I went home to Pampanga and attended our so-call mini reunion with friendships (Jeb went home from Dubai), Memond headed to cavite to meet his friends too (JP and Paula’s birthday)
